~Skirt for Ashlynn~

June 2011 - This is actually my 2nd project sewing clothes. I started the other day with a skirt for myself, and then of course Ashlynn wanted one. So we went to JoAnn's and picked out this pattern. I think it's very cute. Though like many of my projects....... don't look at the inside! EEEKKKK!

Mom's Sewing Basket.....

June 2011 - This cute little project was inspired by my mother's old sewing basket. This is actually the fabric that was on the top of the basket and the binding was a "ribbon" of fabric that was weaved around the sides. Retrospectively, I should've taken a picture of the basket before I dismantled it..... oh well, live and learn! Anyway, I'm hoping to get a really nice frame for this and place a card beneath it with the information of it's origins. I'll get to it.....someday.... :)

First Machine Quilting Project!

June 2011 - Ok, so it's not that great..... well maybe horrible is a better description. This was just a panel that I bought and added the batting and backing to it for practice. Although moving the fabric under the machine was easier by the end of this project, I still have a LONG way to go. So my advice is - just look at this one from far away ;)
